When Moments Are Felt

“As an artist and photographer I strive to capture and convey the wonder, simplicity, and emotion found in Nature. To bring a sense of magic to moments that often go un-noticed, and to offer a tiny glimpse of those small and enduring instances when Nature inspires us to wander.”

As a nature and landscape photographer I specialize in emotive and soulful scenes aimed at inspiring the viewer. My goal is to produce scenes that are artful and soulful and carry a message of hope. I strive to produce images that are more than just a snapshot - but an expression of the beauty & spirit of Nature.

Most of my work is not captured in extraordinary places, but in the simple and common spaces we often pass by on a daily basis. Places that are often overlooked, and yet transform in the early morning or evening light into something magical. Using the same camera I’ve used for the past 12 years, I place emphasis not so much on the caliber of photo equipment used, but on the photographic eye and vision of the photographer. More on the expression of art, and the feeling and emotion of a moment and how its framed, seen, and experienced. Allowing the elements and different moods of Nature to set the tone and emotion.

My work is intended to be both contemplative and inspiring. (and to offer a reminder that we are all part of something bigger. My purpose is to evoke emotion through my work, the same emotion we feel when we stand in awe in the midst of one of these moments. while allowing the viewer to reflect on the beauty and the experiences that Nature offers.

Exploring is really about getting out and experiencing the environment and connecting with it on a deeper level.  Straying away from the trail and getting closer to unique perspectives allows for newer and more intimate discoveries.  When you're out here in Nature, it is very much an emotional experience.  When you’re surrounding yourself in this immense peace and quiet, and the first light at dawn, and the sounds of Nature waking up for the first moment.  It’s about your attachment to the surroundings and to what you’re feeling and experiencing at that moment.   

Inspired To Wander

Everett Houser is a landscape and Nature photographer with a passion for capturing the simple beauty of Nature in places its often overlooked.  His goal is to explore Nature at its most quiet and intimate moments, waiting for the right combination of sky, weather, and light conditions to capture his images.    His favorite moments are those quiet times spent out in the elements, hiking in the early morning hours to capture the morning light, and the many moods of Nature.  Far more than just snapshots of scenic views, his work offers an emotive perspective of the landscape and the beauty that surrounds us.  His aim is the capture the spirit of both place and land in a way that inspires the viewer, and provides a moment of reflection.
